Advanced Thai Massage workshop, Internal Touch with Yiannis & Helen
Advanced Thai Massage weekend at the Yogahaus, Ettlingen.
This workshop is specifically targeting the belly, organs & working from the inside out. Often when working the body whilst giving a Thai massage we forget to touch the belly. There might be fear or a justified concern, as we are dealing with a fragile and very personal area. Αs all the energy lines of the body are related to an internal organs, it is proposed to learn ways of working directly on them when needed.
The internal organs are usually mirroring our mental and psychic state. Beyond their physiological function, they also undertake an emotional depiction. All we experience is filtered through the organs of the abdomen. From daily stress, general pressure or daily problems, unresolved emotional situations, and even traumatic situations leave their fingerprint.
By learning to approach and work the belly, we develop qualities of stability, compassion, observation, patience, and acceptance, as well as technical excellence, simplicity and accuracy in our hands and our touch.
We will work with exercises of a general approach that center with the rest of the body, as well as exercises that specifically aim at organs and their functions.
We will look at how we manage blockages, how we distribute time to treatment, how other systems are being affected (hormonal, lymphatic, circulatory ..), increasing the quality of our massage and our efficacy.
There will be demonstrations and practice, & we will apply new techniques in our massage practice, at the same time, we will work holistically, with the intuition and the connection that we always find in Thai yoga massage.
